The Mercersburg Vibrancy Steering Committee (MVSC), in

coordination with the Mercersburg Borough, Montgomery

Township, and Peters Township, has engaged a third party

planning partner, HRG, to conduct a 13 month project which

will deliver a comprehensive plan for the Mercersburg Area.

Comprehensive planning includes: water; agriculture; sewer; transportation; housing; recreation; and other services vital to a vibrant community.

On May 10th, 2024, MVSC was notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), that a grant of $45,000 has been approved for the purpose of comprehensive planning for the Mercersburg Area.

The grant resources represent approximately half of the funding for the comprehensive planning process, and will be used over a 12 month period.
